After many years of dabbling in a variety of creative endeavors, I have a renewed love and appreciation for all that is interior design. I recently relocated from Florida to North Carolina and in doing so donated the entire contents of my home to charity. I was ready for a fresh start. I got one when I refurnished my entire home — every room (dining, living, bedroom, bath, kitchen and den) in a style that is more “me” and current.
While I love current styles, I have ensured that everything I’ve chosen for my new home reflects my favorite color scheme (fall colors), brings in natural elements and textures (stone, marble, rattan, copper, wood, bamboo, and more). I also love “shabby chic” and vintage elements. It has been an absolute joy to make my home reflect the “real me.”
As part of making my space better reflect my style and bring in more personalized touches, I decided to create some of my own unique lighting. I consider unique and elegant lighting an absolutely integral part of making a statement, setting a mood, creating conversation pieces, and illuminating a space. Beyond mere function, lighting lights up my day — pun intended — its beauty makes me happy.
